Bobs in town, let’s have dinner
Not only was it Sunday but my brother dropped into LA for 24 hours. A great reason to make a really special Sunday dinner. We started with a salad made with mixed greens, bacon, gorgonzola, fennel and a thinly sliced apple. For the dressing I carmelized an apple then pureed it and made it into a vinagrette. Topped it off with some sweet spicy pecans and you are good to go. Here is a link:

. My go to all time favorite chef, Suzanne
Goin is where I go for her amazing Braised Chicken over saffron onions all served over roasted Italian CousCous. And if that is not enough you top it all off with a date relish. OK, not kidding Ms. Goin is a f-ing genius!!! Her Sunday Supers at Luques is a great cookbook. Let me warn you though this book is not for sissys!!!
My brother loves lemon so I found this great lemon dessert, so easy!!! Sucree or pie dough 1-6oz. Meyer lemon-cut into 8 slices 11/2 cup sugar 4 eggs 11/2 tsp. Vanilla extract 1 stick of butter-sliced
Put all of the above in a blender, rind and all and blend like crazy. Cook at 350 for 40 minutes. Chill, I served with blueberries and cream Thank you LazyMary from 52recipes!
All this added up to another great Sunday dinner.
